Sony blocking magic eye & sender?

An odd one. Swapped our 2nd TV (28" sanyo) for or 3rd tv (32" sony) today. Sky signal is via magic eye which is working fine but once connected to the Sony it wont allow the remote to operate sky. It works perfect with the Sanyo so its not the eye.

Also tried the digital sender I had been using with the Sony before the change and this will work fine until it gets within 300mm of the Sony???? Is there some setting on the sony that has to be adjusted. Its a 32" CRT so should be compatable.

No other wireless gear in the house. Any ideas???

This is very common. The "magic eye" should be kept away from the TV which is radiating interference. Large screens are worse than small. Plasma worse than LCD. Never plug "eye" directly into TV aerial socket.
