    Evening all.

I've been working away on some tracks for a while now and on one track got vocals recorded for it.
This is the first bit of vocal mixing I've done and any suggestions / opinions welcome.

BTW: Things I do know about the track.

    o) There is a bit of sibilance on the "esses" I haven't sorted yet.
    O) The levels aren't completely set yet once the heavy bit kicks in.
    O) Guitar and bass have to be rerecorded.

Track name is Deep Sixing, First song on the player on www.myspace.com/demos2008.

As I said, any suggestions / opinions welcome.

That's ok, isn't it? Obviously you're not going for a Boyband multi-track, Autotune buzz, so the minor technical issues are all part of the vibe.

Beware of processing too much as it may make the track to studio-y which , perhaps, isn't in keeping with the tracks overall feel.

    That'd be my 2pence worth!

I should point out I'm listening on my Mac's Laptop too ...

    Cheers.

By "processing", would you mean using plug ins / FX? or something else?

I do actually need to get a whole new computer set-up, Starting to run into problems regards clicks and pops when playing the tune due to the amount of tracks being used. Alas, i've about 300 quid to my name.

Well it would be very easy to put on an Eq and a De-esser Autotune etc on to 'improve' things .

Spend the 300 quid on a Halloween party ....

Bit late for a halloween party. Just remembered i've 500 odd quid coming to me, so it's either upgrade computer or i've had my eye on this beauty.

I had a fender 5 string before ... the B sounded like the string was made of wool. Best try one before you commit ...
