Do you buy them? What is the most you won? Im wondering does anyone ever win the 25000 amount or is it a load of bull? The most i ever won is 40 euro and 2/4/5 euro every so often.

In first with the obligatory 'tax on the stupid' comment....:D

I don't by them often, think I won a tenner once.

    I'd sooner buy magic beans.

I don't buy lotto tickets. My dad asks me for 6 numbers every-so-often though. He won something like £1,051 once. I claimed the £51 and bought Yoshi's Island with it :)

Scratch cards - now they're fun.

    Scratchcards? No f*cking way.
Lotto draw? The odd time...used to play it a lot more often. Got 4 or 3 and the bonus a few times...I know two people that won the jackpot so it can be done...it's just highly unlikely...but a lot more likely than winning something on scratchcard...

Been playing the same numbers for the last 5 years - biggest single payout was €100.

I run the syndicate in work, there are 10 of us.

We spend about 25euro every week and in over two years, the biggest win ever was around 80 euro

In total, we've lost thousands and that's a fair example as we've been at it for over two years

Do normal lotto and 5-4-3-2-1... pick 3 numbers and 542/1 ive won that twice with 2 euro on it! In last two years won 2,000+ but spent 1200+ on buying lotto...

I've bought 1 or 2 lotto tickets in all my years, just when i'm feeling lucky.

I don't buy scratch cards as i'm not a 60 year old woman who's been smoking for 50 years.

    In other words... pills?

Do the odd lotto ticket. Haven't won with them yet. Won money with the scratchies. Better chance with those things. Won €20 a few months back in the local GAA lotto. Random numbers ftw!

Think I've bought like two of them.

And funnily enough I won nothing!

Nope. Never got the whole "Lottery" thing.

I would do the Lottery now and again when it gets big but would never by a scratch card as they are just a fools game.

Lol where's Brian Nolan when you need him?! :D

(No I never buy them. The whole thing's a joke)

There's too many numbers, used to be better with less so I don't buy into it anymore apart from 3/4 times a year.

I know a couple of people who won big money years ago but most I won was about €25.

I've heard of quite a few people winning money by playing it in the bookies, must give it a shot some time.

See they have a new Monday Millions now?

It's a bit like a tax for people who play it. A lot of money goes to charity/projects so the Government doesn't have to give them as much funds.
Good idea I suppose except you can't say everyone's a winner.

I buy a €12 quickpick twice a week, when I remember.... Last year won about €100 having spent about €1000 !!

Will keep doing it as " it might be you ". (Spending less than a smoker does on cigs and the potential side effects aren't as deadly !) ;)

I very rarely buy lotto tickets. Sometimes I do when the jackpot is very high, like everyone else. I'm under no illusions that I'm going to win though.

I'm very lucky on scratch cards so the odd time I'd buy one. I bought 2 last week, and won 6 euro, so I bought another 2 with that money, and won a free card, which I claimed, and won 5 euro, with which I bought another couple, and I won another free one which I will get tomorrow.

My experience of who buys lotto/scratch cards from the days where i worked in a shop. Poor people, middle aged women and old rich lads getting their jollies from them. Almost as big a waste of money as buying cigarettes imo.
