Haven't been to Gdnansk (but going in next few months) but have been to Krakow and Wroclaw and Zakopane.

Krakow is the most expensive city in Poland and even that's way cheaper than here.

Eating out you could get 2 or 3 courses for 10 euro and a beer is about 2 euro in a club. Public transport is ridiculously cheap. Hostel in centre of town is about 8/9 euro.

Very cheap country, in relation to here anyway.

I have not been to Gdansk but was in krakow which was much cheaper than here so i imagine Gdansk would be even cheaper again. I would say go for it.

I have been to Gdansk and it is cheaper than Krakow.
Take a trip out to Sopot while you're there. It's a mental party town in the summer, but still has a couple of clubs open in winter.

    Hi Deckie
Did you go to Gdansk? I am going over there for a wedding in September and would love to know what it's like over there

Katherine Thomas went there on the No Frontiers show, Jan 9.

You can watch it online. The place, and more so the surrounding places looked great, especially because it was during summer. Great place for combining city break and sun / beach holiday.
