car mechanic city centre

    Hi

    can someone recommend a good independent mechanic in dublin city centre ish, my car broke down in dublin yesterday and is in storage in a tower's yard at present, they will being it to a garage/ repairer of my choice.

    I generally use Carlow so don't want to get screwed over in Dublin.

    Any ideas what's wrong with it and what make model of car it is, might help narrow down people who could help.

    it's a volvo s40 01, the tow truck guy thinks it's the slip rod ?? i think he called it, basically the car when in gear will not move the car, you can hear a whine under the car when in gear and take your foot off the clutch when in gear and it won't cut out.

    AFAIK AC Cars are doing sunday servicing (and give 15% off labour to members of the forum in my sig!)
    Give them a shout.

    are they bmw only mechanics kbannon? or are they general also?

    AC Cars are BMW Specialists but also work on other cars. However, the main reason I posted their name was because I'm fairly sure that tehy open on Sundays now!

    it was the drive shaft in the end that was gone, left into SDP after. nice to deal with.

    I'm getting AS Cars, Bloomfield Garage etc, can you link to the right place?
    The link on the other forum seems to be broken also, am I right in saying its www.bloomfieldgarage.ie ?
