    Has it ever worked on this SIM or on this handset for you before? If not your first step is to call your operator and ask them to ensure that GPRS/MMS is provisioned on your account.

    If the phone was originally on a different network than the SIM, check all through the menu for default and preferred settings, which can be different on some phones
