hmmm a crush...

Ok so i'm now in 2nd yr in college and have made some amazing friends in my class as we are a fairly close knit group. Having broken up with my boyfriend of two yrs three months ago, I feel I am fully ready to move on and am seeing some great characteristics and personalities in my class as a result. There is one particular guy I have always had a soft spot for-we get on great, both studious, have same group of friends and are both easy- going and up for a laugh. I feel there is some connection between the two of us just in the way we deal with things, life, etc. However, said boy is currently scoring some girl and they have scored three times on random nights out. I am pretty sure however, and get a vibe of him that this is just a bit of frivolity and something to do on a night out. Last night we were all out together in a park and he was sitting beside me along with another guy. Whenever I was talking to the other guy, i could sense/see that he was looking at me as I was talking to this other fella. During the course of the few hours that we were hanging out his hands brushed/lingered off mine a few times and quite sure it was deliberate....i wont go into the details because i think they may possibly use boards. Just before we left, one of my girlfriends complimented my scarf and he said that it was lovely too. Lastly, I was a party a while ago and we were discussing girls in our class and he mentioned 5 girls that wud be his pick.....I was one of em.


Now, i really like him, think he is just lovely however he is a great friend too so I don't really know how to approach it. I don't wanna jeopardise anything that may be going on with the girl he is scoring either just in case but i just think we could have so much fun together....

any idea, suggestions, comments, words of advice would be greatly appreciated....

Hate that situation, such a college thing! All I'd say is you really can't afford to be too subtle about it. I'm not saying say it out or throw yourself at him or anything. I'm saying try to put yourselves in a situation where an opportunity could arise, whether it be dragging him to the bar to help you carry back the next round, or try to end up at the end of a night chatting and having a cup of tea together, its amazing the bonding thats done over late night tea!! Just in general, try to get him alone and give off a vibe without being blatent. Then its up to him. But if you're too coy about it and he keeps kissing this other girl, you could end up stuck in the friend zone watching him get himself a girlfriend. Not a fun way to be.
