I was just about to start a thread and ask the same question!!!

Who is running the site? Is it the guy from www.irishsnowboards.com? That site is down too!

    Anyone in the know??

The home page wasnt working all week but forums were working up till friday but now its totally gone. Stephen(forum mod) was looking into it at that stage but everything seems out of action now.

I think you are right about the guy from irish snowboards owning the site now.

I was talking to Paul Rackey (owner of irishsnowboards and irishsnowboarder) and he said it was just a technical glitch and that he was working ton getting it fixed.

I've seen that error that is coming up on the forums come up before, i don't think its completely fatal

I think its difficult to keep something like that running from a commercial standpoint, we (Ireland) just don't have the numbers. The community that built up around it though is different. It should be relatively easy to keep that running if it is still running (I don't know, I haven't checked in a few years).

I would think the same people post in both locations, here and there. Could it not be revived as an all Ireland Non Profit site or has it past its day?

On a personal note, I would be willing to donate hardware it that were the case and someone responsible was running the show. I dont think it conflicts in any way with the boards site. The idea is to further Irish Winter Sports.

I know nothing about hosting and servers and websites etc. I'm not sure about the crowd there either I just went to keep a tab on things and what people were up to, reviews for holidays etc. But I gather this place has more than enough people on it for the exact same thing that site done, and more. If it comes back I'll visit it and see how things are on it but for now this site just does fine.
To be honest I visit other international snow websites anyway considering they are 100x better as it is. An Irish snow website still has a long way to go but I'd definitely check the website if it was made anew.
