    Hiya,

Depends on location, but I was offered a contract role with GE Money in Dublin about a month or so back and the rate offered by the recruitment agency was €300 a day.

    Later,

    Ck.

    Hey,

We had a few about a month ago, rate was between €300-€350, That is generally the rate you will be looking at, unless its within some specialist area or you are going to be moving in to a team lead role etc.

At the minute i wouldnt be looking for anything like 300+ as there are a lot of people looking for the jobs, alledgedly a number of banks have let a lot of testers go so the market is flooded with applicants.

Yep there are quite a few contractors floating around at the moment so employers can offer 30-50 euro less then this time 12 months ago.

Its just a case of pricing yourself correctly due to market conditions i suppose and riding the next few years out.

I don't think its a great time to be contracting myself!

Anyone who wants a full time testing job could do worse than looking at one of the open QA jobs at Pocket Kings here:
