I need to get from Dublin to Mulingar and back again tomorrow.
I need to be there beween 11am and 12pm.

None of the public transport seems that great, are there any private bus companies working between Dublin and Mullingar.

There are trains every two hours (which I would certainly not class as "not great") - 0905 ex-Connolly will get you there for 1011, with a return service at 1251, getting back for 1359.

Yes it's a bit longer than you want, but public transport cannot be everything to everyone.

No private buses going there I'm afraid.

Oh no, I meant I had to arrive between those times. I'l be there all day.

Looks like I'm stuck on public transport:(

I was hoping it would be like my trip to Bettystown, where there turned out to be a far faster/more efficient/cheaper private bus available.

Well there's another train at 1105 that'll get you there for 1211.

I'm not sure how you find a train every two hours inefficient? It's one of the better Intercity services in the country, and the 1105 service is operated with two of the new Intercity Railcars.

Fares on the Sligo route are very reasonable too.
