cistern taking ages to fill

    hey all. my cistern in my bathroom is taking about 15 minutes to fill . it does be used alot as 6 of us live in the house . anyone any idea what my be the problem?

    Could be:
    1. something blocking the ballvalve.
    2. the ballvalve becoming stiff and not dropping fully with the level of the water.
    3. the rubber "valve" in the ballvalve mechanism losing its spring qualities and not opening fully. (most likely one!!)
    4. A reduction in water pressure caused by an airlock or other blockage.

    grand got it sorted it was dirt in the orifice
