pir's can't work with two switches - it would need to be a crossover.

If you put the PIR in series after the two way circuit then it might work - it would be better to remove one switch and let the PIR control the light while leaving the switch 'on' all the time.

What way do you want it to work exactly??
-> normal 2 way switching for turning the light on
-> 2 way switch is not able to turn the light off, if PIR wants it on
-> if the light is not on & PIR motion is detected turn it on

I'm sure if you got a high end PIR sensor, with dry 220V AC contacts it would be able to do this....

You could also look up the new lighting control protocol called DALI. Its a bus system for lighting which is being developed.... It would allow a PIR and as many light switches as you want, but they would all have to be DALI compatible, which is over-kill for this application...

Big time !!! that DALI stuff is expensive

I guess it comes down to would a PIR not just replace the two way swiches.

You could consider replacing each swtch with a pir switch (two PIRs) if their positions worked out for you and you could have each one as a one gang
