Blood Bowl Ladder

I'll be running a BloodBowl Ladder for members of the Dublin Games Guild, and the Underground gamers. Non members who play in Models Inc are also very welcome to join.

The ladder is at http://bb.gregfarrell.org and while set up originally for DGG and UGG members, anybody who plays in Models Inc would be very welcome to join.

The plan is to allow people who'd like to, have on-going team development in their BloodBowl games. You can have as many/few teams as you like, and play as often/seldom as you like, and the teams will be rated based on Glicko (chess style) ratings.

We'll be transfering the existing teams from the DGG league into the ladder, assuming that they aren't so badly depleted that players prefer to start over :) I'll also be offering a once off transfer of teams from the last UGG league at the same time.

The ladder is running the 2008 Rules Review update to the LRB5, and includes the three new official teams (Chaos Pact, Slaan, Underworld) that may get into LRB6 pending GW producing miniatures for Slaan.

There's also talk of having 1 day tournaments using the developed teams from the ladder, resurrection format. Though I amn't currently planning on running those myself, so it would be up to someone deciding to do so, if there is demand.

If you'd like a Coach Account then please pm here or email me (address below).
If you've been knocked out of the DGG league and want your team transfered to the ladder, please email me the roster at greg [at] gregfarrell <dot> org.

We've got 12 coaches signed up - 7 with games already played, and there should be another half dozen or so once the DGG league ends.

If you want to play BloodBowl in a decent sized ladder, come sign up on the modelsinc.ie forum (http://www.modelsinc.ie/yabb) or visit the Dublin Games Guild, Wednesday night's in Models Inc. Or the Underground Gamers, same location on a tuesday night.

    Beginners welcome of course.

We're now up to 22 coaches, 32 teams, and 45 games played.

So if you remember BloodBowl fondly, or you want to try out GW's best game (imo) then check out http://bloodbowl-ireland.org

We've got players of all standards, and because it's a ladder you can play as often/seldom as you like, and also easily find teams/coaches that are around your own skill level.

We're now up to 26 coaches and 77 games played.

If anybody is interested in joining, but hasn't played for years and would like a learning game, then I'll be in Models Inc on saturday. Leave me a note here or pm me to arrange a game.

Bring your old team, or if you just want to try things out, then either bring some old models of yours to proxy, or you'll be able to borrow some in the shop.

    The rulebook is at
