I like the first three. They're unusual takes on common items.

The bright light on the ha penny bridge is causing a little flare although it kinda works in thes pic.

Like the first 2 & last as they are. The ha'penny bridge shot might improve with some gentle HDR treatment. The light is slightly over powering and there is quite a large dark area just to the left of the center of the image. If these were balanced a little i'd say it would look great, -good composition though.

    Most enjoyable.

I assume from the dark background that the first one is sodium lit rather than taken in the golden hour, the warmth works for me. The shadow of a sapling or shrub on the old bark is a good young/old big/small story, and the detail always draws me in to look for faces like an ink-blotch test, loads in that one, no sign of Elvis though.

Crossed wires is strangely intriguing, clearly inanimate objects but the twist suggests movement like snakes or the crossed legs of a discarded droid in some bladerunner type future. The peeling paint on the cold stone step adds to the decay which seems that bit more tragic given the lights in the background tell of life in full swing, sort of a metaphor for marginalisation.

The ha'apenny bridge looks suitably old in b&w, the inky black above is foreboding. It seems to twist counter-clockwise to the right of the brightest light beneath, fecked if I can remember where I heard it but a classic quote - "It's not an optical illusion it just looks like one".

The last one is something I've been meaning to try, don't suppose you have the aperture, shutter speed, and iso used to hand?

    Thanks for all the feedback!!

Nope the first picture was actually taken in the golden hour. That light is all natural. apart from a (very very) slight temperature increase in lightroom ;p

I see what you are saying with the Blade runner reference. The orange cast really bring that scene in Tyrell's office where deckard examines Raphael to mind!

As for the last shot the details are as follows:
    Make: OLYMPUS IMAGING CORP.
    Model: E-410
    Shutter Speed: 10/1 second
    F Number: F/13.0
    Focal Length: 40 mm
    ISO Speed: 100
Date Picture Taken: Nov 4, 2008, 10:31:55 PM

1st one: interesting but not interesting enough maybe it looks better big
2nd one: really like it. still wondering what it is. when i saw it first I thought the parts on the left hand side were part of a tree.
3rd really love the top part of the image the lights under the bridge are a bit harsh to me
4th nice movement in the light trails I like it
