Ps3 and a tv with dvi input

Unless the TV support HDCP over DVI connection, you will get no picture on your TV.

Must say its pretty unusual to have a TV with no HDMI ports.

Also DVI does not support audio. Have to run that separately I would say.

You're going to have to find the TV manual and see if it supports HDCP.
If it doesn't then your only other option is to use component input if your TV has the necessary connections.

Cyrus - I have a 2 year old Phillips TV that has DVI (and works with the PS3). So I guess if yours is a Phillips too it could be the same model as mine.

If not, make sure it supports HDCP. It will say it in the manual, or if you google the tv model number you can find out.

cool, thanks lads, i was aware of the sound issue.

i have it connected via component but i have a wii now too and wanted to use the component for that
