Why has it dissapeared mid series on Rte 2? Nothing new for Rte to do this. But an explanation would have been nice. Or even a pointer to whn it resumes. Really likle this programme.

It's back next week, I think it was ditched this week because of the double bill of 90210 last night. I have it Sky+'d and it has appeared for Thursday.
Was thinking what were RTE up to myself until I spotted it appearing last night.

Just started watching the first series last night.. very very good show!

James Corden (Smithy) and Rob Brydon (Bren) make the show, though Ruth Jones (Nessa) is very good as well.

Was reading an interview with Ruth Jones in the Culture section of the Sunday Times a while ago and both herself and James Corden, 2 of the creators and writers of it, basically want it to end on a high and don't want to draw the characters and story line out.

They've also said "they're too busy".

Ruth Jones has admitted that she and James Corden are "too busy" to write a third series of Gavin & Stacey.

The pair are currently working on separate projects and cannot fit the BAFTA-winning comedy into their schedule.

Jones, who is shooting a BBC adaptation of Dickens novel Little Dorrit, is quoted as saying: "We've no plans for another series at the moment as it's difficult for me and James to get together."

However, she insisted that another run is a possibility, saying: "We're not ruling it out but it would have to be a really good idea and a really good story."

James Corden was a team captain on Never Mind The Buzzcocks a few weeks ago.. and was absolutely fantastic.

Yeah I read an inteerview with James Corden where he pretty much said the same thing.

It's one of the few good sitcoms to come out in the last few years. Bryn and Nessa are great, but I think my favourite character is Pam. The actress who plays her is excellent.
