What time does the Friday game kick off at?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 713 ✭✭✭Mr. Wolf

Best of luck with this, we should really work together next year so that the Cavan Poker Open doesn't clash with this event.
I'm sure a North of Ireland Poker Classic could be organised if we put our heads together.

Tourney on Friday will start at 8:30p.m. Tony. Expecting a big crowd for this satellite. We've been giving out tickets to this for the last week, and will continue until the event itself!

Yes its very unfortunate about the clash, originally we were supposed to be running the week after, but because of the tour itself it had to be changed!
Best of luck with the open too!

Hard to know really J.P. without the aid of players pre-registering hard to know what players to expect. But based on the other IPC tour events, and our own big events in the past, it would be safe to expect at least 60 players ~~. Expecting more though

Will do Tony!, we usually do get the tournies started on time though, so the sooner you're here the better. Friday satellite starts 8:30p.m. Extra 1k early bird chip for all players in their seat at the start of the tournament.

    Gallaghers Hotel:

    €112/P.P.S. Sat/Sun night
    €65/P.P.S. JUST SAT NIGHT

This is the best hotel as it has an adjoining nightclub, and is literally 5 mins from the casino.

I dont usually arrive into Letterkenny until close to 9 but if i head straight to the club, i should be ok, Cheers

If theres a lift going spare on Friday i could get there earlier...

you're stack will be out for ya, just losing blinds every round.

Just as a matter of interest, if players dont register and turn up late to the satellite (presuming you'll let people in for the first 3 or 4 levels) will they start with a full stack because i'll be going for that option in that case.

Alternatively, if i'm reg'd i could get Gill to nip down and pay so would that entitle me to my early bird chip?

Early birds are only given out by dealers to players who are in their seats for the start of the tournament.
Also people that arrive late will NOT receive full stack, but the equivalent loss of blinds.
You can however rebuy straight away, (starting stack 3k) u can rebuy if you have 3k or less.

Well it's called an early bird for a reason, and if I gave it to my friend Tony, I'd have to give it to everyone. Then it would just be called a starting stack. Rules are there for a reason, and it's the reason we start our weekly tournaments on time, every time. Even you have to admit that Phillip ;)
I personally wouldn't care giving a guy travelling all the way from Dublin an extra chip even though he's late.... Rather I think it's the other 30 people who arrived on time would be annoyed.

4 tickets given out last night by the way, 10€ re-buy, no registration with-held, and we added an extra €80 to the prizepool to complete to 4 tickets.
