Someone on here was talking about convering their Sirrus in to a cycocross bike. Well, now is the time. There's a four-race Dublin cyclocross series starting this Sunday in Corcaigh Park. MTBs can take part too.

Ha, that was me. Would this be suitable for an absolute beginner? Would I need a CI day license (not yet in a club?)

I'd say it would be fine as a beginner. Not sure how the race is categorized on the day but the worst that'll happen is you'll be lapped by the leaders. The course is wide so there won't be any congestion. This would also be good for anyone getting into mtb racing.
