Sats for Fitz Festival Main Event

Satellites for the Main Event in our upcoming festival will be running the next 3 Thursdays up until the festival. They will be €50 buyin with a rebuy and/or addon at €50 each. Max you can spend is €150.

This is instead of the regular €95+5 double chance tournament.


Who is running the event (organisation, society etc.)

Any prerequisites (member of club, society etc)
Club membership required.

How can tickets be purchased & is there a maximum number (in advance, at the door etc.)
Tickets available in advance from the poker desk, maximum of 100 players plus alternates.

Type of Tournament (Hold'em/Omaha etc Freezeout/Rebuy etc.)
No Limit Hold'em Satellite

Cost of entry and any subsequent rebuys/top-ups etc.
€50 Buyin, one rebuy @ €50 and/or add-on @ €50

max spend €150

Cost of registration
€5

% of entry fee/rebuys/top-up going into Prize fund
100% payout, prizepool to be given out in tickets for Fitz Poker Festival Main Event. (€1075 Ticket)

15. Blind levels
3x20, then 25 minutes

Are there going to be dealers - and their level of skill
There will be dealers. Their level of skill will be high.

Nope. In the Fitz you must be out of chips to rebuy.

Im not sure, and I don't like phoning Denise cause of the hours she works. I know that from this week though there is no Thursday night game running just a dedicated Satellite night, so it should generate a few extra tickets. I will update this answer when I know more.

Just got a text from Denise and they are going to push that it is only a Satellite for the Main Event on Thursday, so basically the more that turn up the better.......

15 runners last week, and 1 ME ticket plus 2 end of month tickets.

Last week they had to run the normal tourney alongside due to not enough people for the sat at the start (only about 5 at 8.30) so about 10 others were there but wouldn't play it as there were so few runners etc, so it ended up with 2 tournies with about 15 in each of them. This week hopefully there will be enough there so that they can def not have the other one on, and will hopefully get more than 20 runners with at least 2 tickets, but who knows really.

this is on again tonight. as said above there were 15 runners last week with one main event ticket and 2 end of month tickets.

the regular 95+5 double chance tournament will not be on so i imagine there should me more runners this week for the satellite

I'll try to be there on time for it anyhow, and if anyone else is planning on going, being there on time should make sure the same as last week doesn't happen with the second tourney.

I burned in a squeeze play attempt with 18K left and blinds 1.5K 3K 3 limpers I shipped, they both called, sigh.

Dom still there, ronan still there, when I left, how did you do in the cash?
was it as much of an eye opener as the tournament....

the only big pot (500+) I played I flopped top set with JJ on a Jack high board

runner runner str8 for a split, sigh

if you had the patience to endure in there, you would clean up!

Ronan, Kevin Farrelly, and 2 random others that I didn't know got the tickets and I got 5th to continue my stellar run of crossbarring satellites.

this is on again tonight. last week we got 40 runners and generated 4 tickets and 200 quid for 5th.
