Hi guys, from reading other threads I've seen the opinion voiced that for anything from 32" under Full HD isn't really that necessary. I'm looking to buy a 32" LCD for the bedroom as a Christmas present. For the moment it's only use will be to watch divx/mpeg4 etc off a modified old xbox via a scart connection. I don't see us going down the multi room route any day soon, though I'd say at some stage I'll probably buy a HD Player of some sort.

Budget wise 600 is the max I can afford, less is good as usual :). I've had a look at a few offerings from Komplett, Alliance & RicherSounds which I've listed below. Any leanings plus reasons why toward one or another would be mucho appreciated.

    bit outside the budget.

/Edit all the 32" panels bar one seem to have been taken off the Komplett site? They did have a few Panasonic models that came in a good bit cheaper than those listed on Alliance such as the one above:confused: Because of this I've put in a few Samsung models, not sure about them though.

If there's any recommendations other than those above would really appreciate it.

    Cheers

You've picked the cream of the crop in 32" LCD's.

Think the Sony and Panni might be slightly better panels. Here a good price for the Panni.

Hi Jmal, cheers for the link, haven't dealt with them before. Any idea what they're like to deal with? Also do you know if they have a collection centre?

Would you say the Samsung lcd's I linked to above are any good? Main reason I'd lean toward them is cost and pickup in Blanch, nice looking sets too (not that that would be a deciding factor).

I do like the Panasonics, have a Panasonic 42" plasma already with the Viera link in the living room. As watching in the bedroom though would only be now and then I wouldn't be as picky.

I have that sony V4000 or whatever the link is up there. I think its really good, i got mine on sale for E520 in d.i.d. electrical bout 2 weeks ago. Cant find any faults with it so far adn i think 32" is jsut the right size. Easy to set up to, you just might need to do a little tweaking for you prefrences.

But if you spending the money on a hd tv i recommend that you plug somthing with a hdmi output into it. :pac:
