I am trying to partition my hard drive for 2 days now and still no luck... I am currently using Vista and I want to be able to 'dual boot' with XP. I have tried going through disk management in Vista, Iv tried starting with the XP disk and Iv even, in a last ditch attempt, installed Linux as it was part of one of the methods I managed to Google.

The last two attempts almost worked until I was asked to choose which drive I want to partition, no drives showed up on the list and I was forced back into Vista. Another message told me that access was denied to the hard drive.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can partition the drive, it's really annoying me now!
    Thanks:confused:

    How about partition magic?

This can be done. Here is a step by step instruction with screenshots included on how to do this with Vista being installed first, as in your case.
