Any recommendations for a good webpage creating/editing tool. I have a degree in programming so fairly proficient at coding but tools do lighten the work!!
I'm looking for a program that can be freely available or must be purchased.

    Thanks

I'd go for a CMS like Wordpress if I was you. Most of the grunt work done for you & if you know your way around code, you won't have trouble tweaking the html, css (or even php) to adjust ...

kompozer might do the trick. It's not a professional tool, but will get you started.

If it's for ASP then you know what to use.

For PHP Wordpress is excellent and so is Drupal. You can work smarter because like the poster above said the grunt work is all done for you and plugins are available for almost any extra functionality you might need.

If you are a PHP coder then there are hundreds of editors.
Crimson Editor is a good one and PSPad is a great one. It is slick and there are great functions in it for managing projects, code highlighting, creating macros and even ftp uploading.

Both editors are free and make nice coding environments.
