just a quick FTA question!

    I see TMF, MTV Germany and Virgin 1 are FTA in UK, can you get them here in Ireland, they're still showing up as scrambled on my box?

    The only channel FTA out of those three, to the best of my knowledge, is MTV Germany, which has always been free on Astra 1 (19°E).

    Virgin and TMF are definitely free in the UK, I was just wondering what the possibilities were of getting them here...

    On the MTV Germany, I cant seem to get that working, all the others do (ie. BBC's, ITV's, Channel 4, 5, E4, MORE4), is there any reason for this, anything I need to do or change?

    BBC, etc, are all on the Astra2/Eurobird constellation at 28.2/28.5°E, so no hope of getting MTV Germany.

    The others you mention, are free in the UK, on Freeview, which is a UK Digital terrestrial service (ie. via aerial). Not free on satellite.

    Alright cool, so theres not much point of me switching just to receive MTV if I would lose the others, thanks for the info!!
