Changing receipt of dole from PO to bank a/c

When I had to sign on about 6 months ago, I didn't have my bank a/c details on me, so was signed up to collect in local PO. A week after this they ceased allowing payment into back accounts for new signees, so I wasn't able to retrospectively give my details at the time.

But, I was told that after 6 months out of work I would be able to get them to make the switch. I was just wondering has anyone in the same situation looked into providing such details. Who too? Presumably call in to SW office is the solution?

Quickest method - call in to the enquiry counter of your SWLO with your bank account and sort code details. As long as you have been in payment for six months, it should be no problem switching to payment via EFT.

I went into the local SWO the other day, and the girl at reception looked at me like I had two heads when I asked her about this, so I decided to make a quick exit, after her reaction.

Anyone any the wiser if you can switch to electronic fund transfer after 6 months receiving Jobseekers Benefit.

The link posted earlier isn't locating a page anymore either.
