Im new to the forum so im not sure if im posting this in the right section or not?

I bought an M16A3 from RSOV and when I got it I charged the battery fully. Then I shot it a few times to hear what it sounded like. After a few shots I shot it again, but I didnt pull the trigger fully. Now when I fire it it doesnt shoot anything. Its like its stuck with the gears or something. Is there anyway of fixing it can anyone tell me? Thanks for reading and please help me if you can, I'm badly stuck

Try switch it to fully automatic and fire and switch between the fireing modes. That sometimes happens with my dboys m4.

I did but that still wont do, I took it apart and the piston seems to keep getting stuck in the mechbox.

Is there any noise coming from the motor when you pull the trigger? Does it whine just do nothing?

This sounds too simple, but it's overlooked too often for me not to ask; have you checked the fuse? A bad contact on the trigger can cause an arc, which would draw enough to blow the fuse. Also, check the caps of the fuse aren't loose. I've seen woeful quality fuses in AGM gear which need to be replaced due to the caps being loose or disconnected.

That was me. People look for the complicated solutions without thinking of the simple ones. It happens to everyone! If your car suddenly cuts out, don't assume it's fuel injectors without checking the fuel guage first.

Well originally I think it was just the battery that was wrong with it but at the time i thought it was the piston that was the problem. So i stuck a welding rod down the barrel to force the spring to push it out. But this ****ed it up completly and now when i pull the trigger it shoots fine (doesnt get stuck) but it doesnt move the piston

You probably stripped the piston teeth if that's the case. You'd need to open it to check. It could also be that the when you forced the piston, you pushed out of it's guide rails, which would leave the teeth misaligned and unable to engage.

If you want to drop it in to us before you get the gear box from Rsov, we'll probably be able to fix it anyway - we probably have all the spare parts we'd need here.

RSOV are taking ages to reply to me as usual. I'll be buying the new gun once they reply and when they send that the new gearbox will come with it. Question for Tony, is there anything else that needs to be done to it while its under your hands? I might aswell get it all taken care of now and any problems with it sorted out now :P

    ROFL.,

An M4 gearbox is the same as an M16 gearbox.,

ahhh that would explain why it seems to fit in perfectly .. just need to wire it up now and I'm sorted! (wires are coming out the front instead of from the back)

If you're getting a new GB then what you could do is open her up. You can look for any obvious damage. If there is no damage, great. If there is damage you'll know exaclty what's wrong with it. If its totally fecked, you can put it aside and wait for the new one. If its fixable, give it to Tony (and thus richie) and they can reasembe it with or without a new piston ect. All you need to be sure off is that you keep every part, big tuppaware box might be an idea.
