I am endevouring to return a laptop under warrenty because it was not of merchantable quality and as such has failed.

I am currently in Germany until the end of January but originally boaught the laptop in Ireland

as you know, Dell is a multi-national corporation. and as such has bases in Ireland aswell as in germany.

With my product, next day pick up/ repair is offered.

Obviously, Dell wants to sort this matter of mine with their branch in Germany for both our convenience.

my question. Am I eligable to the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980 or Do I operate under the german equivilant?

INAL IMO - as it was bought in Ireland, it would be under Irish consumer law (if consumer law is applicable).
