    Hey folks,

As the title stated I've been waiting on the dole for 10 weeks now. As I have to be means tested I would assume that this is the cause of the delay. Is this normal? Would my best option for expediting matters be to pop into my local welfare office and have a chat with someone?

You should have some efforts of looking for work over the last 10 weeks such as emails and letters from advertised job vacancies.
Bring these in to the Dole Office and this should speed up your claim.

As you may have read in other posts, there is unfortunately horrible delays in processing means tested claims. I'm afraid all you can do is wait, as the staff are working overtime to try and process back logs. Make sure you have supplied all requested paperwork.

If there is no other income coming into the household, you should apply to your local Community Welfare office for Supplementary Welfare payments.

If you are still waiting for the dole send email to

inet_info@welfare.ie or info@welfare.ie. Give them your name and PPS number and you will be able to get info.

    Good luck!
