swapping license

hello all would appreciate some feedback on this question,i have a .22lr license 6 months ,and would like to swap over for a .223 ,reasons for this are ,the .22 simply wont do the job on the foxes ,im wondering would it simply be a changing over of the license or would i have to go through the whole process again .thanks in advance any input would be appreciated!!!!

You're probably going to have to do a new application. You'll be changing from a rimfire to a centre fire and that's a significant change.

Your best bet is to ask at your station, but my belief is it will be a new application.

Depends on the station. So go and ask your FO and tell him why you want to change.

See how it goes from there.

This shouldn't be a major problem I know plenty of people that have done this for 22/250 .220 swift and .223 and even changed from .22 magnum to .243.
I can't recall anyone being turned down.
I suppose it depends on who your dealing with .
