BeOne and Cube seem to be very good value for money

My brother has a BeOne Karma, it's nice. You tend to get components a step up on the BeOne than equivalent brands, i.e. an XT derailler instead of lx

Focus are great bike and very reasonable.
Black hills I think is the 07-08 bike and an continuation of the fatboy which was a year before, great bike IMO.

I'm riding one of these, great on and off road, for DH and other serious stuff you'd wanna be changing the tires though, grand for cross country though.

This looks like a jump bike, dunno if the sitting position would be right for trail riding??
Lovely bike though at the same time.

It is a jump bike, but i ride trail on it more than i jump it.
And apart from climbing, i rarely sit down, and deffo no sitting on trail, easier on the bottom.

I've used one of these (fatboy 08) most of last year and only recently graduated up to a full sus bike. I don't have much to compare it to, but i thought it was a great bike
