I've used K-Rend Buttermilk silicone FT on my house, very happy with it.
Don't forget, that you have to apply a sand cement scratch coat first.
Also, make sure that you get the K-Rend with algacide pre-mixed.
The max you will get from the K-Rend (in regards to not having to paint) is about 10 years.
In my view, and of many contractors, the K-Rend is more economical than a painted surface.

I've specified it on a number of projects - looks great.

One other work of warning - before you start external plastering, make sure all opes for things like vents, balance flues, etc are fulling complete and finalised as, especially with the darker colours, patching the K-Rend finish looks really sloppy. Not as forgiving as render and paint.

    gman2k,

I'm thinking of using the K-Rend Buttermilk silicone FT on the gables and rear of my house also.
Would you have any pictures of it on your house if possible?

    Cheers
