19A, 13, 13a, 11. No major difference in commuting time. The 13 always seemed a little quicker to me but was a bit rougher at times. Constant smell of hash too.

The No 3 will leave you on Collins Avenue but turns off before you reach DCU. Its only a 5 minute walk.

The four indeed does, and it is one of the most frequent buses on the route. But for some reason it does not appear if you search 'DCU' on dublinbus.ie.

The 4/4a (direction: Harristown) is located outside Quirkey's on O'Connoll St. and brings you right outside the albert college (back) entrance of the college. It's really frequent and really reliable, imo.

...or go to the busstop which has all of them, and get the first one that comes

And what about after dark? I think the 27N goes near enough, just the other side of swords road, but can't tell where the 33N goes from the website. It says Santry but I don't knwo which way they come at it from.
I'm trying to get back to campus. Preferably from Ballymun Road way but doesn't really matter. Any ideas?

The 41N will bring you straight up the Swords road and drop you near Whitehall church. The 27N goes nowhere near DCU, it heads east out of the city, does a tour of north east dublin and finishes up north of Artane. Beaumont hospital is about the closest it gets to DCU.

There used to be a 19A that dropped you at Glasnevin / Ballymun junction but it looks like it's gone now.

wasn't the 40N considered the nitelink that went closed to DCU? bit of a mental one though.

you can get off at ballymun library.
