    At 11PM EST, Barrack Obama was declared the President Elect.

    Also at 11PM EST, Boards.ie shut down to perform its daily backup, for 30 minutes.

    Doesn't last 30 minutes, any more than you do! :p

    And even if the admins wanted to defer the back-up specially for the declaration, how tf were they supposed to know when exactly it would happen?! Remember all the commotion last time? (extreme case I know)

    And congrats on electing a President who might actually garner back for the USA some of its lost respect! :)
