    Righty-Oh.

So Bacrack Obama, allegedly the most liberal senator in the US Seante, is not a couple of months away from the presidency. Democrats have also taken control of both houses and done it emphatically. Obviously, eigth years of GWB and the recent financial crises have contributed, but what can we expect now?

Is this the end for conservatism?

What sort of changes do you expect overt he next 4/8 years? Socially as well as politcially? And how much do you think it'll effect us on this side of the pond?

    You may begin your answers.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

You may look below for a similar thread I started.

Very little is going to change. The current economic situation is not going to be easily remedied and even if it's not his fault, if in 4 years the economy has gotten worse he will be blamed.

...Sleep? I've been strung for days worrying about all the ways the republicans could have stolen the election again.

The end of America being the embarassment in its role as "leader of the free world" that it has been for the last 8 years.

Same crap different face I'd imagine, he's not the messiah.
If you think there'll be radical reform you're in for dissappointment.

edit: I would LOVE to be proven wrong on the above.

I'd advise him to steer clear of Tennessee.

    Agree with both.

Reality is that to-night is the best night the man will have for years ... he's survived the election, and he can for a few hours celebrate before facing hard reality.

And it will be a hard reality.

But oh sweet mother of moses, am I glad to see the back of GW!!!!!
