    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Killing Nissans? They have no imagination.

I was surprised at the sloppy handling of the Lancia Gamma in the first clip. In 1979 I was a passenger in one almost identical to that in an 80 mph trip though Dublin under Garda motorcylce escort. I was in the back - no seatbelts of course - I got the impression that it was a lot firmer than the video showed.

Having said that, it must've leaned a bit as the front seat passenger put his hand through the seat cushion on one turn, as he was clinging on for dear life.

The last chase was very good, was the car that fell off the truck a DKW?
Heres another banger racing clip from last year of an alvis TA21 getting a bit of a push from a 1949 james young bentley

Apparently no one was badly hurt.

    Agreed!

Could that really be his own hair?

A French version of Starkers & Crotch perhaps?

What was the Yank Tank in the last video? It looked a bit like a 63 Dodge, but I'm grasping at straws here. The handling was really scary; they're obviously only meant to go in a straight line.

Without googling ...wasn't that "Christine", i.e a Plymouth Fury?

The other one was an Opel Admiral
