    Quick question.

Recently my routers(eircom wireless one netopia) lights have been going mad and suspected it was one of the neighbours using it so enabled MAC address restriction. How do i get around this using the wireless for the ps3 and xbox 360??

    thanks

For the PS3, when you test your interent connection you will be given the MAC address even if it fails to connect. Which it will do if not on the allowed list of the router. Cannot remember where you get the mac address on the 360. Google it and it will probably be an official MS document on how to do it.

Go to wireless settings on router, advanced, mac address filtering and enter the address. Finally click allow. Done. IF PS3 was working before MAC adress filtering then it will work now.

By the way, if you are using WEP key as security for your network, this should give you enough of a jolt to change your security to WPA/PSK. Far more secure. Don't forget to reconfigure all other PC's in the house also.
