Possible to get EPG with USB stick tuner?

I'm getting all four Irish DVB-T channels fine on my USB stick tuner, but seem to have lost all EPG info for those channels. Can anyone confirm whether or not it's possible to get an EPG with a USB stick?

I'm using an Elgato DVB-T stick, and my software is EyeTV 3.0 on an Apple iMac. After the switch to MPEG4 I seem to remember getting some Irish EPG info at first, but then I lost it. I'm not sure if it's because I did something or something to do with what's being transmitted.

The Elgato software came with a subscription to the 'tvtv' programme guide and it works fine for my other channels, which are Astra satellite channels tuned by a Terratec Cinergy S USB satellite tuner.

I'd appreciate any pointers if anyone is managing to get an EPG with a DVB-T USB stick.

    Thanks.

I'm getting a 7-day EPG on my Freecom USB stick with ProgDVB right now, although very occasionally when i start it up it says no EPG data available. I'm on 3 Rock by the way.

    Thanks for that reassurance Alun.

It must be something I've done then, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it was.

I'm using a Hauppaube Nova-T USB stick, which is the same hardware that Elgato rebadges as its DVB-T tuner, and, as I said, I'm pretty I did have the EPG at first.

Back to the drawing board then - I'll just have to keep on troubleshooting, unless someone with a similar Elgato EyeTV setup lets me know how it's done.

I'm on 3 Rock too and have a really strong signal.

Delete all the channels and rescan. Or better still, uninstall the software, remove any folders, reinstall and then rescan.

    Thanks Zaphod.

    I'll give that a try.

Hi, I have a freecom too but cant get the image. Do you need the pro version of ProgDVB or the free with a mpeg4 codec sources somewhere else it will work?
    Thanks,

    I solved my EPG problem.

Under EyeTV in the Library/Channels section I clicked on the EPG column and was able to select 'tvtv' as my EyeTV EPG provider (one year free sub with software) and when I updated the channel list my DVB-T channel info arrived. But I'm presuming that there must be some other free option to get the EPG information that's being transmitted.

The other options under EPG were None, DVB, and XMLTV.
