Anyone know if/when this is getting released in Ireland?

Check out the featurette on Apple.com. Looks very funny!

The poster was banned in some states in the US and in Germany too even though both actors were fully clothed in it!

I hate Seth Rogen but I like Kevin Smith so Im looking forward to this. Hopefully Jason Mews has a nice part and Jason Lee turns up too!

Saw the trailer and it looks horrendous. Rogen is starting to annoy me.

star in this hilarious tale of love and friendship from legendary comedy writer/director Kevin Smith (Clerks II).

Really?! He directed Clerks 2?! Shame it wasnt anywhere near as good as the film he's really famous for! What was it called again?
    Oh yeah...Clerks!

I hope against all hope that this is a return to form for Smith...but something tells me that its just not going to be that..

Rogen wouldn't be so bad if he stopped playing himself in every movie he makes.

*sheesh* Ok, in comedies people. Comedians tend to have their own schtick that they always use, which is why comedians are so easy to Parody.

I'm not saying that Comedians can't act seriously, but when they are trying to do comedy, the majority are one trick ponies.

Saying that Rogan should stop playing himself could also be applied to John Cleese, Ricky Gervais, Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey, Jerry Seinfeld... etc.

    Eddie Murphy?

Nutty Professor,Coming to America,Trading Places,The Golden Child etc.

    All pretty different roles/characters.

Saw this movie at the weekend. I thought it was pretty funny. It's exactly what you'd expect from a Kevin Smith/Seth Rogen combo - i dont know if that's a good thing or not!

It's a bit choppy and all over the place, but i did find it funny. There are some big laughs, but i feel some of the funnier characters were underused.

I'd put it up there with Pineapple Express or the like,

Was really looking foward to to this, but isn't in Dundalk IMC, so it seems its fallen victim to IMC's dispute with the distributor 'entertainment'

yep doesnt seem to be in IMC DunLaoghaire either. What is the dispute?

There are some great laugh out loud moments, but the spaces between jokes are more voids than spaces, if you catch my drift. It becomes quite tiresome at parts, but overall is a good bit of fun...

I was in tears laughing at this film. top quality in my books. :D

Bah... another hit and miss Kevin Smith comedy. Some really funny moments
(the constipation gag was brilliant, and Justin Long's cameo was great)
but the whole thing was way too formulaic towards the end, even if some of the romance scenes worked better than the usual rom-com
(scene where the Pixies 'Hey' played was really well handled)
    .

Kevin Smith can make great films - Clerks and Chasing Amy (a truly inventive and different rom-com) - but lately I think his soppy side is getting in the way. Certainly no Jersey Girl, but still a bit too contrived despite the decent and foul-mouthed laughs. And c'mon: of all the porno titles they could have chosen: Star Whores? I think at this stage we are all pretty damn aware that Kevin Smith is a Star Wars fan.

Not quite sure what its all about, but I just know [from a mate who used to work in IMC Dundalk] that there is one.

Decent movie. Justin Longs scene at the start was the best part, which is a bit sad really - but definitely worth a watch. It's cheap, predictable and nasty but the anal scene was still hilarious.

enjoyed it in parts, i agree with owlwink there were some pretty long gaps between jokes..

that being said, when it's funny, it's very fcuking funny indeed.. justin long, as mentioned, stole the show for me,
i nearly cried with the "revenge of the sh!t, the all anal final chapter" bit, and the dutch rudder from mewes at the end had me laughing so much i missed most of whatever soppy dialogue came at the end

far from smith's best, but an occasionally very funny 100 minutes indeed..

Really enjoyed it have not laughed so much in ages.

Unfortunitly their is abit of kevin smith soppyness in parts of the film but its overshadowed by the foul mouthed humor.

Craig robinson steels the show in this.

Honerble mention to jason mews who is also fantastic.
