I bought this beast last week and decided to install it saturday. Was i in for a shock.

It has 6 discs and all together has 40 gb of sounds on it. I was told each disc wont take no longer than 45 mins. It took me 2 hours to load one disc. Talk about a long instalation. Done half saturday and the other half yesterday. I tought my dvd drive was faulty but it was just really slow.

But i have it working now and it sounds good and does not take up alot of cpu in protools unlike the arturia synths.

Need to sit down for a few hours and get into it.

Have you considered counseling? Only kidding Freddyf! Neurojaz just recently posted a review of the product. 40 gigs sounds way too much. I would rather 10 tasty gigs then to have to sift through tons of mediocre sounds. Apparently the sound are creamy as chocolate.

Beleive me lol, the CPU will be *worse* than Auturia synths once you get into it ;) - it's great, but like most these new synths there are features that make it sound real nice and then your CPU runs for the hills ;)

I got it making about 4 simple, lush noises (out of the 8 that it can potentially do) and it locked up the Quad core. Obviously dependant on the sounds of course.

The 'Steam' engine is pretty scary once you get into it. A simple UI that sucks you right in :)

It's 40 gig of pure magic Dav... i went through the presets (as i normally do) to filter out the nice ones and gave up.... 80%+ were all fine... they must have kicked the crap out early... just like in their Rhythm device Stylus... which still hasn't been beaten.

Sweet as a lollipop. I loved Atmosfear so if it is better than that then happy days!

They actually include atmosphere within it.. so you can use all those elements as well in omnisphere... ;) - it just gets better ;)
