Washing machine leak - any ideas?

I have a whirlpool washing machine and yesterday I noticed that it had leaked when I was doing a load of washing. It wasn't a lot of water, but I am concerned about where it might be coming from. The water that leaked is just under where the filter is, so I checked the filter to see if it was blocked, but it wasn't. Has anyone any idea what might be causing this? Or is it a call out job? Given that the water is leaking at the front and there wasn't a lot of it, I don't think it is a plumbing problem, but I could be wrong.

Pull the machine out and check the plumbing behind it. It could easily be a leak at the back that is the problem. The water may well be leaking at the back and flowing to the front.
