Hi was wondering if any one has any tutorials or advice for recreating some of the effects used in Top Gear, I know they used ND filters and the likes on their cameras but would love to get some similar effects in photos, the vignetting is easy but the rest is proving more difficult to recreate in photoshop or light room.

PS sorry if this was asked before , search returned no matches.

Could you post an example of what you are looking for ?

Well, most of the time it is using multiple graduate filters, colour and neutral ones. After that increased saturation mostly.
Custom presets in LR should do the trick.

By the way, could somebody explain me how to use presets? ;)

Try using the Photo Filter adjustment layer in Photoshop, and then using gradients for the colours. Vignette's will work too.

ill try and pull still from the one of the episodes when i can bur from what someone told me i need to look at graduated colored filter effects like a tobacco one etc, normal lens correction vignetting only gives me the dark corners and they have far more in use and much more dramatic skys

this is a bad example as one si want have far darker tones or more redish ones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaWoo82zNUA

I've seen five filters in different angles. It is only for TV, therefore nobody cares about quality. However lens hood and shields against the sun are essential.

Could you maybe post a pic that you would like this effect on? I have a couple ideas on how this could have been done but not 100% sure. I'll see if I caqn google a car image and do something to that too.
