Any travel agents do something like this?
Flight very early Thursday morning to Canaries, at your apartment by 12ish (noon).
Thursday, Friday, Saturday in the resort.
Sunday, picked up from your hotel at 5ish, back home in Dublin around midnight.

Had a look at a few agencies and most of them just have 7 days and 14 days in the dropdown selections.

I understand that it prob wouldn't be a lot cheaper than a 7-day holiday as the flight is the most expensive part anyway.

why don't you book independently?? ryanair fly direct to tenerife and fuerteventura, aer lingus direct to gran canaria and Lanzarote. i booked tenerife two months ago with ryanair for 60euro return and a hotel in Playa de las Americas for 20euro a night with these http://www.otel.com

public transport from the various airports to the popular destinations is frequent.

http://www.skyscanner.net makes it easy to compare and contrast prices of flights

Thanks for reply. AerLingus/Ryanair are not really feasible as they don't have a Thursday -> Sunday flight combination. The key to booking independently is flexibility, and I don't have it this time, it has to be Thursday to Sunday.

I'd thought that a couple of travel agencies introduced these short sun breaks, but could be wrong.

Hey just did this for the bank hol to tenerife. We went wed to monday but what you can do is go out with Aerlingus & back with Ryanair or vice versa- you won't get the flexibility by going at and back with the same carrier. Ryanair def fly Mondays & Wednesdays to Tenerife. I think Aerlingus go Thursdays & Sundays but I could be wrong. Alternatively check Belfast for flights as more choice from there!

Budget traval do these type of short breaks to the Canaries but when I rang them about a month ago looking for availability for this weekend they were all booked out. Might be worth your while though.
