Trying to get a hold of block policy, assuming it's standard - what does it cover in the actual apartment?

    Mainly does it cover flooring/kitchen/bathroom?

Not 100% sure on this but it would cover all the actual buildings, paths etc. and about €25k contents cover for say in the landings and so on.

Don't think it covers flooring. Each tenant should get their own contents policy to cover damage and theft to tv's carpets and all that malarkey.

Most common claim in apartments is for burst water pipes.
Liability wise the management company is responsible for this and the block policy will cover their public liability. So if a pipe breaks and damages your contents you can claim this from mgt. company's policy.

Rate on mass concrete apartments is about 0.05% on medium/large scale blocks and about 0.7%-0.011% on smaller ones.

So if buildings are €10m expect to pay about €4,750 - €6,500 roughly depending on details/location.

Just arrange it through a broker and when he quotes you tel him another broker quoted you €400 or so less and ask him to do better.
