This is down for Heywood Community School, Ballinakill, Abbeyleix. Anyone know where this is? Coming from Limerick side of main road to Dublin.

    And what's the course like?

    Thanks.

Coming from Limerick the N7 will become the M7 soon after you leave Mountrath. The very first exit off the motorway is signed Cork. Take this exit and when you get on to the roundabout above, take the 4th exit (signed Cork).

You will now be on the main road to Cork, stay on this road until you reach Abbeyleix. In Abbeyleix there is a set of traffic lights at a crossroads in the centre of the town. Take a left here (R430). Very soon after you will come to a Y in the road, keep right (R432, possibly signed Ballinakill). After this Heywood Community School should be signed.

Nice course, its mainly around a farmers fields. A bit of up and down on it, but no big hills. There was a drag up the start straight and coming up by the end of the lap last year if i remember correctly, and the only "obstacles" on the course if ya can call them that, was a bit of a bank you had to step up onto, and a slippy downhill sort of corkscrew corner.

    Nice course

Ok, sorry, I was wayyy off the mark with this comment :D:D:D! The weather left it a complete muckfest! My race was funfun, I lost a runner after 200meters, so I decided to pull off the other 1 and went barefoot for the whole lot. It was painful but the lack of spikes didnt really hinder me, I was able 2 pass a good few lads through the really sloppy parts.

U17 boys was a very good race, there was nothing in it between the top few lads on the 1st lap! I have a few photos from sunday, they are mainly of the Wicklow athletes I'll admit. linky
