Looking for advice about how to have the pavement dropped outside my house to enable the car to get into the drive without wrecking the suspension. I knocked down the front wall about two years ago and have been putting the pavement issue on the long finger till now. Does anyone know the quickest way to go about this?

Call your local council and ask to speak to the Roads Department.

Planning permission is not required to dish the public footpath. It is however required to remove your front wall to create off street parking. The Roads Department will dish your footpath for a fee but only if you can provide them with proof that you obtained planning permission to widen the access in the first place.
