    Hi,

Don't know much about tvs etc. Want to get a new tv for kids to use with wii (xmas pressie). I've been looking up pixmania etc but found this samsung on laptopsdirect.ie

    http://www.laptopsdirect.ie/s_LE40A455C1D/version.asp

does it look like a good deal??

They don't really watch much tv and we don't have sky hd so from what I can gather from other posts full hd is a bit of a waste, also we only want 37" or 40" screen.

Are there better deals to be had, don't really want to spend any more than 750!

    Thanks

    Hi,

I think this would be better.....and I and many others on these forums have used Richer Sounds and will do again.

    http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=SONY-KDL40V4000U

Better features overall and a great price.

The shop in Belfast can order in and delivers for 20STG. Just give them a call.

Hope this helps you Santa :)

    Thanks for that Majj,

In the midst of my "research" (more like adding to my confusion ;-) I saw somewhere that there is some issue with the Sony's leaving shadows, does anyone know anything about that!??

Have just seen Samsung LE40A656A - I know it's more than I wanted to spend but any views on it?

Am wondering too about distribution (I don't know much about any of this stuff!), at the moment we have our sky distributed to other tvs - we will need to be able to have this done when we get a new tv too - would the samsung be able to do that?! (sorry for the basic questions!)
