Maybe this is well known... Saw a Walker 32" in Power City today for €911 with a HD Satellite tuner built in.. not worth the cost but interesting. It was displaying BBC HD at the time.

Now, if they threw in an Mpeg4 dvb-t tuner twould be tempting.

Haven't seen one myself, but at that kinda money, for a no-brand TV, it's crazy! A 32" brandname with seperate Freesat HD receiver would be cheaper.

A lot lot lot cheaper really, A sony 32v4000 is about 500e if you know where to look.A humax foxsat hd box can be got for about 150e on ebay which comes to about 650e overall.

ok ok ! I know its too expensive. All I meant was that a TV with HD Sat tuner and DTT mpeg4 would be handy..:o

Don't think it's quite a "no-brand" tv.....apparently Walker are the crowd that used to build Mitsubishi Black Diamond TVs (which had a decent enough reputation), and when Mitsubishi gave up some of the guys bought the operation ?

Right, the freesat panasonics offer mpeg4 decoding and have additionally an dvb-t tuner on board.
Btw the tuner has nothing to do with mpeg decoding.

Walker and Black Diamond are linked in a way alright. Black Diamond TV's were all made in Turkey, by either Vestel or Beko, and rebadged as Black Diamond.

Mitsubishi had no part to play in the manufacturing of these. Apparently, it's because of this, that production was stopped, as Mitsupbishi didn't like their brand being used on a product they didn't make.

When the Black Diamond brand was no more, Walker took its place as the brand to stick on the front of the TV. Nowadays, with LCD flatscreens, etc, I'm not sure who makes their TV's now.
