wireless access on campus using 802.11b device

    unsucessfully tried to access t'internet from the library using a 802.11b compatible PDA ( axim x30)

    has anyone else been able to configure their PDA to access internet on the DCU WLAN ?

    if so can they PM me and let me know how they managed it ?

    proxy settings weren't the problem.

    problem was just my unfamiliarity with the device itself.

    figured it out in the end though.

    there is a WLAN utility that will display the list of available networks. you simple select the network , click ok and then select "the internet" in the "this devices connects to " dropdown list.
