Some therapists operate out of doctors surgeries, or rent out rooms that are in a centre for a multiple range of things, such as aromatherapy, massage, reiki etc. To be honest, the majority of counselling centres are non-descript, unless someone has been there themselves, or knows someone who has. I do empathise with you, as when I lived in a different town than I do now, I used to attend a support group just a few doors from my place of work, but to be honest, how I felt about what people would think etc had more to do with my own insecurities.

Am guessing you are living somewhere very small where news gets out very quick etc.
Good idea to go to a urban centre or big city, at least that will do away with anixiety of being seen on way into the counselling place.
