Ipod nano - good choice?

My Creative Zen V plus 4GB has is almost full and I've been thinking of getting an ipod nano 16GB to replace it.

So far everything I've seen on different sites about the nano have been pretty positive, it looks great, although i haven't seen it in reality yet...

My zen was pretty reliable and served me well for the past couple of years. I didn't use it for videos really and I don't think I will use my new one for videos either, which is why I would choose a nano over a classic ipod.

Getting to the point, am i just being sucked into the whole ipod thing because they look the slickest players at the moment, or would it genuinely be a good choice?

And last of all what colour would you pick if you decide to recommend it...:D:D:D

    Thanks a thousand!

Was just given one by the missus, looks pretty snazzy, will let you know how it works out. LIke the engraving that you can get on it for free. Tinkering around with it now. Got a red one as with the red ones part of the money goes to fight aids. Shaking it to change song is nice, so is turning it sideways and the video/picture changing to landscape. It's pricey is the only bad thing, but mine was free so not an issue.
Looking good so far, I know somebody else that has one and likes it a lot.

I don't want to use iTunes, bleugh. What is the best alternative that works woth vista/windows media player do you know?

Mediamonkey ftw. I use my really old nano on it. Works fine.
