Good cable / bad cable????

I was up in the attic today and I finally got round to checking what type of cable the sparks installed. I want to get SKY in the next few weeks but before I place an order, I want to know if the following cable is fit for purpose. It was branded as:

    RG6 2.25Ghz Digital cable

I've done a search on the web and it appears to be an ok cable but if anyone wants to confirm this/ruin my day, I'd appreciate the advice.

    Thanks

    David

BTW, I hate the Boards' Halloween colours. Hard on the eyes, isn't it????

RG6 isn't the best, but would do over short distances.

If you don't like the Hallowe'en colours, just hover mouse over "boards.ie" dropdown menu and then to Change Styles.

Ok so if the RG6 isn't top notch, would it be possible to run "good" satellite cable from the dish to the point in the attic where the RG6 cable enters the wall to run the 8ft down to where the tv points are, i.e. use the good satellite cable over the long run (about 100 feet to the furthest tv point from the dish) to ensure good signal strength as possible and then join it to the RG6 for the last few feet and thus only lose a bit of signal quality.

I know some people might say just run the cables from the dish along the roof to where the tv is and then drill through the wall, but I don't want cables trailing over the roof, down the outside walls etc. I've seen a few far from aesthetic satellite installations in my relatives houses.

    Yeah, that should be OK.

To make the join, use F connectors and a back to back connector (aka F-barrel)
